Valentines Day 2012 falls on Tuesday 14th February so don't forget to select this date on the order form. For most plants the best option is normally our standard tracked courier service. You can choose to surprise your loved one with a gift delivered to work or to home and even specify in the special instructions box on the order form exactly where it should be left if they are out.

Looking for romantic inspiration?

No Valentines plant selection would be complete with out red roses and ours is no exception. At a fraction of the cost of a florist's dozen these quality red rose bushes have been bred to flower indoors on the big day and will be delivered with the first roses already in bloom. Each valentine rose plant has 6-10 buds or blooms but unlike cut flowers they will bloom on and on and when they do finally finish flowering they can even be planted out in the garden for a romantic display next Summer.

Red Roses say 'I love you' but many other plants have romantic symbolism, Orchid plants have been associated with love, beauty and perfection for centuries. Available in pink or white these twin stem orchids will bloom for up to 12 weeks. Just order before 3pm on the 13th February and we will giftwrap your orchid and send it with your personal message to arrive on the big day.

Jasmine plants again are steeped in symbolism, associated with feminine beauty and sensuality, the sweet scent of jasmine would melt even the hardest heart. The british grown jasmine pictured below are delivered trained around a hoop as in the picture and make a great romantic gesture or why not stick to simple symbolism and send your loved one a heart shaped plant ?

These living valentines hearts are great gifts for guys too. Or perhaps he'd prefer a something useful as well as pretty? - olive trees , lemons and dwarf orange trees all make great gifts for men for valentines day and the citrus fruits make a welcome addition to gin and tonics and cold beer!.
